EMMS MedCalc is a clinician-built clinical support application for emergency, critical-care and retrieval medicine. The same core clinical functionality is available across iOS, Android and web/desktop, with offline-capable workflows designed for demanding environments.
Purpose
Preparation, checking and cognitive offloading
EMMS MedCalc was built around a practical clinical reality: patient care often starts before first contact.
In emergency, critical care and retrieval medicine, preparation can involve oxygen planning, drug setup, infusion checks, equipment readiness and transport decisions before the patient is reached or moved.
MedCalc supports this preparation by helping clinicians calculate, compare and confirm key clinical and transport information in one offline-capable tool. It is designed to reduce unnecessary cognitive workload, support sense-checking and help clinicians focus attention where it matters most.
It is not intended to replace clinical judgement, local protocols, medication references, aviation procedures, clinical training or senior clinical decision-making.

EMMS MedCalc is in active beta testing on iOS via TestFlight, in an active Android beta, and as a live authenticated web/desktop version at calc.emmshealth.app.
The native iOS and Android apps can be used locally without an account. Signing in enables profile functionality and cross-device Treatment Log synchronisation across web, iOS and Android. The web/desktop version requires MedCalc account sign-in.

Planned Model
A planned free tier and MedCalc Pro
MedCalc is planned to launch with a freemium model: a deliberately limited free tier providing selected basic tools, and MedCalc Pro providing access to the wider clinical toolset, advanced workflows and account/sync functionality.
MedCalc Pro is planned to include an approximately 7-day trial. Final tiers, trial details and availability will be confirmed alongside the App Store and Google Play release.
